Well, well, well. And there you have it. Well, some of it, anyway.Of course, it still leaves a number of questions. Ah well, we’ve got time.
Speaking of time, Wednesday will see us over at Anya’s place. Who knows, there might even be a chicken or two. Stay tuned!
WAIT A MINUTE!?! Alice is telling Phillo about Edison’s naughtiness? Did I read things incorrectly, but wasn’t Alice encouraging Edison’s little adventures at one point?

Was Betsy perhaps what made the Queen naughty?

I am also still wondering as to why Edison started drinking and why she felt so lonely without her booze to the point that she got really inappropriate in how she sought attention. It looks like Dilbert got the crimony beat out of him on frame 5, and I am really curious as to how.
I realize that she was dreaming, but I am pretty sure she was dreaming about the past. DAMMIT, so many questions!
YAY! Chickens.
On a totally unrelated topic, happy Monday Charlie. http://barxotka.com/comic/yes-can-haz-cheezburger/
YAY! Happy Monday indeed. That’s a beautiful page, Vas, made all the more beautiful by a certain cameo. Thank you!
Hmmm…it does look like Alice sold Edison out, doesn’t it? Perhaps there’s a clue as to why later on in the strip.
Poor Dilbert. They really wailed on him. Part of the scorn and derision. I think this explains a little of Philo’s unwillingness to hug Edison in this flashback.
Oh, did I mention the incredibly cool cameo in that link Vas shared? Speaking of…check the Rasputin Barxotka link on your right.
Hmm… those baked goods do look incriminating. Wait, you meant a future comic. Nevermind.
Okay, if my kid were that badly beaten because of my spouse, I’d probably react like Philo too.
Thank you for the plug!
Nope. You were right. It’s the suspicious casserole. Or the black dress.
Oh, the black dress, cleavage, and pearls . . . and a nice warm, sweet, rich, creamy casserole, too.
I wonder if she did an ‘Anya’ with one of Dilbert’s friends. If so, I vote for Betsy.
I kind of doubt anything happened with Betsy. My memory could be foggy about it, but I seem to recall Edison confessing that, before Anya, she’d never felt that way about a woman before.
I actually think that you are right, but I still contend that a Betsey would be a perfect excuse to start a really malicious rumor, true or not especially if someone wants to punish her for being gay and has other ulterior motives. This would work particularly well if Philo was a neglectful and self-centered jerk — which I am still betting on, even if his parenting skills are better than his marital skills.
This whole situation reminds me so much of small town/strict conservative religion politics that it hurts my head.
” …It looks like Dilbert got the crimony beat out of him on frame 5, and I am really curious as to how. ”
My guess is that gossip spread around school about Dilbert’s mom (a small town, perhaps?) and he overheard them talking. That or, kids being kids, a few of them may have taunted him about it. Either way, that HAD to HURT! And at some point he’d had enough and tried to stop them – with his fists.
The flashbacks:
1. What was the deal with the tuna casserole? (I’m aware of the archaic dude-bro use of the word).
2. Did Rosemary actually put a lip-lock on Alice?
3. Is there a . . . Mister Alice?
4. Why am I so confused?
The answer is, there is no answer.
1. The tuna casserole was a reference to Rosemary and Philo’s rejuvenated sex life. Though, if that’s a tuna casserole that Alice is offering, it adds a whole ‘nother level to the scene.
2. The lip-lock was a fantasy.
3. There must’ve been at one time…
4. You sure don’t sound confused to me. Astute, maybe, but not confused.
I always feel so bad for Dilbert every time he shows up. Even when he’s happy, there’s a latent sadness to him.
Loneliness can be a great motivator for negative behaviour. Especially with us artistic types. Poor Dilbert. And Alice? What is up with that smile? Scheming?
Still, it’s a sign of underlying issues. I like reading Vas’s take on the issue the most.
MY BABIES! I created an account just to say that. I’ve been reading GK for months but this has to be one of my favorite pages. I just love the Edison/Larry/Stephanie dynamic so much. They’re like an adorable, misfit family.
Welcome aboard! Thanks for creating an account and commenting.
Yes, they are kind an odd family unit, aren’t they? I think those two will do a good job of looking after Stephanie.
Of course, anything can happen, especially since Edison and Stephanie are all the time kissing…
Still waiting for Larry to kiss with someone other than Edison, with , of course, Edison’s tacit approval. Oh wait, I know what happens…This is my second time through this week! But, I ain’t sayin’.
Shhh, Voice From the Future! Don’t give anything away!
