BooYah, looks like Edison’s taken a very brave and difficult step.
As to not wanting Larry there, might be difficult for him to accept but it’s the right thing to do. Can’t overload her son with too much after (?) so long, plus she can’t use Larry as a crutch.
Got say this is a great point in the story…Blast got to wait two whole days to see what happens next.
Littlecrow… nice! Named after Chief Little Crow, I presume? 😉
I don’t blame her for not wanting to bring Larry along. The worst thing to bring somewhere when you want to keep sober is an enabler; even the cutely adorkable kind. Plus, I would hate to see what kind of drama would unfold with technically undivorced mom bringing her boyfriend.
I was thinking about where Jefferson Technological University would be located, and I wanted to do something for this really wonderful person who’s been such a great help in so many ways, and the answer was obvious.
Not sure about the reason yet, but I reckon Edison is doing the smart thing. It’s going to be a fragile situation, meeting her son again, and the last thing they both need is Larry hanging over her shoulder.
There’s something I can’t quite figure out though. Pants, or no pants?
I’d say pants, unless she plans to wear a dress.
Or do you mean: “are they wearing pants?” I can assure you that yes, Larry and Stephanie are wearing pants.
Long T-shirt over panties, it’s a decorus but highly charged looked.
Some women can carry it off and look incredible, some look “Soccer Mom” hot, some just trashy. Edison for all her faults ain’t trashy.
hi, This is going to be very hard on her and everyone else.
Therefore, I have to ask: Why did she NOT get a Divorce? That would have taken a lot of her issues off the table not to mention all those guilt trips.
I know, I know, it would have made a slightly boring story.
It’d still be an interesting story if she’d divorced Philo, though she would’ve stayed more in touch with Dilbert.
There’s a clue as to why they didn’t get divorced in this strip.

1996? That explains a lot.

You are a total sweetie! I hope you know that.
Hehehe. “June”… I get it.

I was thinking of Edison. At first, I was pretty sure she was wearing a pair of white pants, but now, I’m pretty sure she isn’t. 🙂

Hjels-I think you might’ve been confused by the parallel lines of the hanging folds on the tablecloth. I should’ve moved that fold over.
