Well, I guess we know what Larry and Stephanie have been working on behind closed doors these last couple of days.
So, yes, we took a step back in time to the workday. We’ll resume with your regularly scheduled Groovy, Kinda strip on Thursday. Which will feature a conversation between Eleanor and Reade Turner. A conversation that might lead to…well, big changes. With someone else’s help.
Is that a Star Trek uniform she’s wearing? Also, those hypno-glasses are killer!
I’m glad you like them. That’s a real vacuum tube in the middle.
Star Trek uniform? I’m sure I don’t know what you’re talking about…
That’s some pretty impressive goo-goo talk for a machine intelligence, Stephanie. More hidden depths, for sure.
And I can’t get over how modest and restrained Amy has become.
Amy’s working for a living now, not just looking after Ms Sampson, so she has to be a tad more respectable.
And I wondered if Stephanie would do the goo-goo babytalk to Robespierre. I decided that she would indeed get all silly.
Perhaps it’s a clue to her real programming? Or perhaps it’s just a sign of how far she’s come in this world.
What I am surprised by is Eleanor’s response. She could have let them have it or goofing off and trying a VERY lame explanation
By the way, the glasses. . . please. Which brings up an interesting question. . . just WHAT were Larry and Stephanie supposed to be doing.
which by Eleanor’s reaction. . .not much.
They’re supposed to be figuring out a way to get the discombobulationotron to go where Eleanor wants it. But once they do that, they’re afraid she’ll abuse it for personal gain and possibly cause the downfall of civilization or something.
Eleanor knows what Larry’s trying to do, and she’s paying out the rope…
I totally didn’t catch the Star Trek uniform at first glance. I must be getting older and less nerdy.
What’s with the glasses though. Are they afraid Eleanor will look into their souls with her unholy, sexy vampire powers?
I should think, with the company you keep (us Underdogs) that you’d be getting more nerdy as time goes by.
Larry’s trying to delay the discombobulationotron thingamabob. So, in the meantime he’s trying to look like he’s Doing Science.
I need to build goggles similar to those. It seems the best prop for getting out of doing unpleasant things. “What, I can’t do that! Can’t you see I’m doing science to this cookie?!”
Or just looking interesting when someone visits me for the first time, like Doc Brown and his science-hat from Back to the Future.
I think your avatar’s ready for those glasses.
And yes, “Doing Science” is a great excuse for getting out of unpleasant tasks. Unfortunately, you have to actually “Produce Science” at some point.
