Well, at least Edison broke the awkward silence. That’s something, right?
Coming up, Alice does some explaining too. Stay tuned!

And that’s the conclusion jumped to straight a away.
Typical of they type of people who “have your best interests at heart”.
This is an interesting story Arc, Charlie. Very interesting indeed!
True story: I explained a cat attack that left both my friend and I with black eyes and our faces full of cuts. She had accidentally closed the door on her kitty’s tail and he temporarily went berserk. The cat was so pissed, he ran away from the house for three months, at which time he came back three legged but sweet as a peach. Stinky was a weird cat.
When people asked about my facial injuries, I lied and explained them away with a car accident. No one questioned it, especially since I was perpetually drunk or high. More than once someone added, “Figures,” without the least bit of sympathy. My friend told the truth, “My cat did it.” She kept complaining to me about how everyone kept asking her if one of her boyfriends had done it.
Moral of the story: Honesty is the best policy, unless you were injured in a stupid way.
So true, so true.
VAS; Kudos for your honesty.
I must admit that my original comment is a bit trite, but I’ve met people who’ve meant well but jumped to the wrong conclusion in ‘similar’ circumstances.
SCIFIJOE: 99% of the time I’d say you were right but now and again I’ve “Klutzed in up” so spectacularly that I had to tell the truth, like the day I body slammed a Light post, walking three abreast with my then Boss and another colleague. No way I could hide that one!
Well not with her (my boss) killing herself laughing all through the meeting we were en route to.
Fortunately, Edison has something for the pain…
Man, I couldn’t imagine Larry ever mistreating Edison. He’s not great at getting her to control her destructive behaviors, but he’s way too nice of a person to ever hurt her himself. Even during that time she slapped him across the face, he didn’t come close to so much as raising a hand at her. I’m actually a little insulted for his sake that this lady insinuated that about him, and he’s just a fictional character. Your comic is making me a crazy person, Charlie.
Larry would never mistreat Edison. He’s a gentleman.
But he’d just shrug Alice’s misunderstanding off. That’s just how it is.
Well, I like your version of events better.
However, I can still salvage my vers. . . .
ok, I won’t. The Big Rooster just told me so.
But I love hearing your ideas! It’s fun.
Plus, sometimes you, and you, and you too, you come up with things that I hadn’t thought of. And sometimes that gets me thinking about where the story is going, and…
