Well, well, well… sharing her feelings? Confessing insecurities? That’s not behavior one normally associates with Eleanor.
What, you may wonder, is up? Here’s a hint.
Or maybe it’s just her brain tumor and impending death-if they don’t get the discombobulationotron running correctly. And, if she’s telling the truth about her fatal brain tumor in the first place.
And Robespierre is a nanobot collective? Here’s something to think about: even Sampson Enterprises doesn’t have that kind of technology.
Next time, we’ll see how Larry’s getting on with Robespierre. Stick around!
Did… Did Edison make Robespierre?
No, but she did discover him.
The link refers to Stephanie’s line: “People like to tell me things.”
Hmmm, a nanobot collective. Interesting…I’m thinking he comes from the same world as Stephanie? Does Eleanor have in her some part of Stephanie like Edison does, which is why she’s sharing her feelings with her? Or is it something else. Hmmm….
Oh WOW!
Did Eleanor just admit to having feelings for Larry?
Could she realise that Larry’s not interested and have pushed Edison and him together at the beginning?
Is there no end to her machinations?
Yep. Apparently she’s loved him for some time.
You’re kind of close with the link. Eleanor didn’t want Larry at her orgy-in fact, she’s always managed to keep him from attending.
Edison was an opportunity that presented itself, and Eleanor took it. She didn’t know that they’d fall in love. She doesn’t have a high opinion of Edison. But, if Larry loves her, Eleanor will treat her kindly. Heaven help Edison if she ever really hurts Larry.
Love the punchline…
Once again, Stephanie wrote that at nearly the last minute.
It’s not hard to love her…
From what I’ve seen, Larry is the one man who sees Eleanor for exactly what she is and calls her on it when she goes woogity. She can get him to do things, but he doesn’t do them blindly. I think her remark her is literal truth, to her. I’m not so sure about Stephanie’s. Her awareness of how humans think is still in the “processing” stage.
I love her analysis of Robespierre, though – it actually makes perfect sense, other than trying to work out WHO CREATED HIM. Nano-bots are, from my sci-fi reading, rather tricky things. It’s possible that he’s a self-made … uh … thing.
Charlie, in panel 1, is the concealed part of the phrase “can Larry…” or “can I …” Can’t really tell from the shape of the letter fragments.
And Stephanie’s hair is (pause for thought) “interesting.”
Stephanie’s hair is in that formless stage partway between “upset” and “upswept.”
Eleanor is asking: “Can Larry fix him?” Stephanie has no doubt whatsoever. Ever since he and Doody “fixed” her, she has complete faith in his abilities. If Larry can’t bring the Li’l Stinker back, it would be a double blow of disappointment for her.
Larry, Nelson, and Toivo can call Eleanor out when she goes woogity (love that term). While she’s had an on-again off-again relationship with Nelson, and Toivo is gay, she’s never done anything like that with Larry. But she has shown how much she cares.
There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding Robie. Where is he from? How did he get to be him? What’s his favorite flavor of pudding?
“People like to tell me things.” Holy cow, is she a….BARTENDER? O.o
Dang it, Delta-v, you gave it away!
So wait, Robie’s a possibly a robot? No wonder we like him so much! Your robots are the best things ever.
Oh, you just love him ’cause he drops flower pots on people’s heads.
So far, the only one I’ve seen gas been on Edison.
I may have to go back and re-read BUT not right now.
