Uh-oh… Wonder how Eleanor’s going to take this?
Sure, Esther has never made a secret of her feelings for Larry. But still, she’s not fool.
Perhaps there’s more to this than immediately meets the eye. Let’s just wait and see…
Also, in my attempt to organize the hundreds of strips, I’ve started tagging the posts. This is, and will be for some time, a work in progress, so thank you in advance for your patience.
And a big thank you to Andy P, creator of “I, Mummy,” for unknowingly showing me how to do speed lines. I stole that from this strip. You’re the best, Andy!
Looks like Stephanie has a bright future in store for her as a postal worker.
With how excited they all are to get these letters, I can’t help but think of this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1wUirNlR0U
And yes, I am aware of how childish I am.
As usual, Reade’s snark knows no bounds…
Oh, she was holding back. Don’t want to irritate the mail carrier. Especially when waiting for such important letters.
There are three people you never want to upset: 1. Mailman (who knows just HOW LONG a letter will get to you). 2. Your Nurse. (If she/he handles your meds/shots). and Last but not least, 3. Eleanor (nuff said).
Because upsetting Eleanor could lead to having to have a Nurse to treat nicely.
And Larry gets in trouble just for existing…
A common occurrence for anyone who has Eleanor in their life.
Amen!!!
Did Stephanie leave behind a bit of mail? I’m assuming that’s why the mail…boy is trying to get her attention. Also, who sends mail to Stephanie? Everybody she knows she’s already pretty much in daily contact with.
I’m assuming this is a melange of reactions, since most of these people are in different locations at the moment. Except, of course, for Larry and Edison… I LOVE the way he can “see” her with the back of his head. 😀 😀
Stephanie was picking up the mail for Eleanor, since she runs faster than the mailman (or the mailman’s truck).
Eleanor would’ve sent her to pick up only the mail addressed to Eleanor from Esther, so she didn’t get “Loverboy’s” missive.
And yes, Larry was very aware of Eleanor’s reaction. He’s been there before.
