Well, there you have it. The end of our crossover with the wonderful comic, Princess Chroma.
I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have. It’s been a real stretch for me, both artistically, and in the writing.
Thank you again, and again, melaredblu, for letting me play in your backyard.
You are a wonder to work with. It’s been so much fun to work out dialogue, titles (all yours), situations, and costumes (I love Stephanie’s outfit!).
Coming up-back to the real Groovy, Kinda world! There are some folks that we haven’t checked in with in a while. Stick around!
Oh, and you have to see this! mj Massey, creator of another of my favorite comics, The Vatican Assassins, has posted a very complimentary review of Groovy, Kinda! Stop over, check it out, and do leave a comment, won’t you?
Dang it Charlie, you didn’t tell me you were gonna include feels in this! Y’know what, that settles it, I’m gonna declare this crossover canon for my comic too.
Also, thanks for generously providing a full view of the castle for me to steal–I mean, reference. Next time we see Elysium, it’s probably gonna be a lot like what you’ve drawn in these comics. It’s been so awesome seeing my settings and characters drawn in your style!
I’m glad you liked it, partner. The Chroma Cloud was a late addition. I think it really pulled the whole thing together.
And I snuck something else in.
Those are the costumes, and that’s the balcony from here.
Which means that your story begins with Leopold on the balcony of the Royal Bathroom…
I like to think that this all took place just before the Pricness Chroma story started.
Awww, so sweet…
I think it fits with the Chromaverse. melaredblu can do bittersweet like nobody else.
This is a nice ending. I like it.
So is this now the official prequel?
That is up to melaredblu. It’s her comic, after all.
Personally, I love the idea that Princess Chroma starts with Leopold on the balcony, remembering Stephanie and thinking about all the work it’s going to take to fix the bathroom right behind him.
But that’s just me.
Since both melaredblue and you have tugged on our heartstrings lately, there are plenty of feels to go around. I agree with @scifijoe. It was a nice ending. Bittersweet, but nice. :’)
Sugar Frosted Anvils.
I missed this amidst all my real-life work, and now I’m going to go into work tomorrow dripping with tears…well done.
