Who knew that Konot was such a smart-aleck? Then again, considering the ship he works aboard…
So, first, I just want to apologize if I left you out. I really didn’t mean to, and it doesn’t mean I don’t love you. I really do. It’s just that I had so many people to include, and well…I just hope you like it.
I specifically left out all you fellow Underdogs. You know how much I love you, and I have my own way of showing it.
I wanted to include you as a way to say thank you so much for all your comments. I know that Groovy, Kinda has taken strange turns, and too many breaks, and I wanted to show how much I appreciate your comments. It really means a lot.
Tune in again next week for more! More what? Ah, you’ll just have to see for yourself.
UPDATE: As you can see, the strip is late. Never fear, it’s almost done. But I was in the final days of cleaning the apartment (we moved into a house! Yay! Basement studio again!), and that, combined with the usual two jobs and moving, wiped me out. I’ll have it up as soon as ever I can.
Meanwhile, Happy Hallow e’en!*
*Fun Fact: The original title of Blue Moon was Hallow e’en Boulevard. Named after a line in a song from the 60s.
Wow, I got a mention.
Happy Happy Dance!
Many thanks Charlie.
(Gonna flaunt this now! Wow a Baron!)
Holy carp! Thanks for the mention!
I am honoured. Ta muchly (more vernacular from the east side of the pond).
Weeeeeeee! I saw my name but didn’t really focus except to blink a little and shrug it off as an accidental thing, until I read the blurb. :D:D:D:D:D Thanks!!!
Who knew Sci-fi Joe had been sainted. Wow.
Well, somebody knows my name.
Awww, what an adorable little name-dropper. Thanks, Charlie. ^^
But wait, if I’m the V, that means that there were……
Konot is not helping Larry cope with all the happenings.
Well, my name is not here but since both this humble writer and his characters have been extensively cameoed before, I guess I cannot complain, right?
Awesome page!
Little guy looks like a Vaughn BodÄ“ character…
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner!
Yes, Konot is based off of Bode’s lizards. I’m a huge Bode fan, and this was a sort of tribute.
And here I though you couldn’t be any groovier…
Thank you! Oh, you should see my collection of Bode stuff.
I have only one original comic, the one where he stuffs his lizard apprentice. What else is out there..?
There was a lot of stuff in the late 70s-early 80s. I think I have (I’m moving, so there’s a lot in boxes) “The Collected Cheech Wizard.” I know I have some issues of “Junkwaffel,” which has some “Cobalt 60” stories, “Bode’s Cartoon Concert,” a copy of “The Man,” maybe some “Deadbone” and “Sunpot.” But the crown jewel in my collection is my extraordinarily rare “Bode Broads” portfolio.
Man, I really have to dig all those out. Thanks for the reminder!
Too cool…
Thanks! Now I just have to find them…
*steps through door*
How? Where? Um, ok, almost the same place.
Anyway, I was wondering if Konot was related to Cheech’s minion or if I was just having a flashback….
Konot’s design is based off one of Vaughan Bode’s lizards, yes.
And hello! The comic looks a lot different here than on Tapastic, don’t it?
Interesting. This is the only place I’ve ever seen my name with this spelling.
I’m very surprised to not have had it pointed out to me in the past.
You didn’t see it at the time?
