Ain’t this a beaut? Simon looks great in color. And there he is, in the M9 Girls’ world!
This strip was a fun collaboration. I had the idea, Hipopotamo (the genius behind The M9 Girls) scripted it, I pencilled it, Betty (the genius behind The M9 Girls art) inked it, Hipopotamo colored it, and I lettered it up. And there she is!
But we’re not done with poor Simon yet. Neither is Pato, I suspect. You’ll just have to stick around till next week!
Colour! Oh what a gift to this New Year. Thank you all.
Well, we know the answer to the age-old question…. boxers or briefs? Nothing like having your suitcase pop open at the most inopportune moment (I think it must be a Murphy’s Law).
And COLOR!! My, my. Thanks for detailing who did what in the collaboration. Every time I come across one, I always wonder how they work. I always loved Neil Gaiman’s off-hand remark about his collaboration with Terry Pratchett for Good Omens, which I can’t quite remember and can’t figure out how to Google, but it went something like, “He wrote all the words, and I wrote all the spaces.” (Or perhaps the other way around)
Ah. My Google-fu just improved and I think I found the quote (or at least “a” quote, which goes like this…”TP: “I wrote all the words, and Neil assembled them into certain meaningful patterns… ” (I’m not sure which quote I like better.)
In any case, I’m very much looking forward to see what happens with Simon, and I’m really hoping for something like a happy ending. Or a madcap one, or both. 🙂
It’s really really weird to read one of your own comments and not remember writing a word of it…. *blinks*
He-hee! Welcome to my world. “Did I really draw that? Wow! I was so clever back then. What happened?”
Oh, wow. It’s in colour. That’s super disorienting, but kinda cool.
And poor Simon. It seems his plan to leave his reality behind for a shot at true love in someone else’s might have been just a little cobbled together.
