Whoop-de-doo!
Dani, over at Girls With Slingshots, has uploaded the hundred or so guest strips that were submitted a while back. It’s a real treat to go through all these fine pieces and see what creative and clever things people have done.
If you’re looking for a certain black and white strip (hint, hint), it’s on the second page, at the end of the second line…
And if you’re new, well, welcome! Hope you like Groovy, Kinda. Stick around, it can only get stranger.
Oh, and if you’re new (or not): That tall woman with the Farrah Fawcett hair is Stephanie. She’s a robot.
Yeah I’m new, courtesy of said guest strip. The cast list isn’t all that helpful, can any of the predecessors to this strip, where these interesting characters are first developed, be reviewed online?
Not yet, but you’ve given me a great idea. If you want to see Larry, Toivo, Eleanor, and Nelson in action (both in their world and as pirates) you’ll have to get the book.
But, I think it’d be fun to scan the whole “Importance of Being Eleanor” sequel, which has most everyone in it. That’ll give you a good idea of who some of these people are. It won’t have Edison, Anya, Stephanie, Phyl, or Amy, ’cause they didn’t exist before Groovy, Kinda, but still…
I’ll get on it this week!
Love that castle! And that explosion is awesome too.
OK – we know about Phyllis, and Rad’s shown up here and there – but who the heck is “Tim?” (“My name is Tim, but you can call me … “Tim!”)
Tim Sampson is Phyl and Rad’s son. He’s mentioned here and there-he went to the Space Station with Rad and Amy after Phyl died.
He’s a 17 year old genius inventor, like his dad.
“We” know about Phyllis? Speak for yourself, dude. Who the heck is Phyllis?
Phyllis Sampson, married to Rad Sampson (chief of Sampson Enterprises); mother of Tim Sampson. Former adventurer.
Why is there an extra eyeball in Rad’s forehead?
(It’s your fault I’m here – I followed your reminder link to “the date.”)
It took me a minute to spot it, Tru. That’s supposed to be the line of the eyelid and the front. It does look like an extra eye, doesn’t it? I should’ve lowered it and connected it to his eyelash.
When it comes to detail, my friend, you’ve got a good eye.
