Stephanie has a lot more going on than you realize.
Poor kid-sometimes it gets to be a little too much.
Have a great weekend! Some surprises on Monday. Stay tuned, won’t you?

That fourth panel seems to be: Where in the world did *that* come from?
Be good Stephanie!
Sometimes the incredible abundance of cool stuff at a library can be overwhelming, and it’s nice to take comfort in the sight of kittens.
Being a cat lover I would have to agree.
I second that sentiment. Kitties are my Prozac.
Stephanie’s haircut is reminding me of some other sci-fi character, but I can’t quite remember who. Was a Doctor Who traveling companion? Somebody from Blake’s 7? What’s-her-name from Metropolis?
Tried to resist but here it goes: “I for one welcome our new Robot Overlords.” Did I say overlords? I meant protectors.
Are you thinking of Jo Grant by any chance?
I don’t think Jo’s hair ever really curled like that.
But she did have the dimples and cheeks that Charlie draws so well.
I’m so out of the loop-I just Googled Jo Grant to see who she is. Gosh, she’s cute! And I’m definitely using that hairstyle in the future.
Maybe on Edison?
I always thought Stephanie’s haircut was based on Farrah Fawcett. But I don’t know much about celebrity haircuts.
Partly, yes. It’s based more on a character I had in my college newspaper strips (where all this craziness started). If I can find it, I’ll post it.
But the original character’s hair was partly based on Farrah’s, and partly on all the girls with big 70s hair at the time.
That very phrase was running through my mind as I wrote this. Glad someone said it!
I guess they don’t have the Internet whenever and wherever they are.
Pretty sure public libraries only continue to exist in our world for sentimental / nostalgic reasons. Also fetishists.
University libraries, on the other hand… not quite so sure. Whole different kettle of fish.
Don’t worry, Steph. All robots have that desire inside them somewhere. It is indeed easily overridden by kittens 😀
Is it a factory install, or just something that grows naturally out of being a machinal?
Perhaps the love of cute is the same.
“Gordar will smash humanity! Ooh, corgi puppies!”
