Hah! Tell me that says “Snickerdoodlin'” and I will never look at cookies the same way again.
Larry first used “snickerdoodlin'” as an euphemism for “fooling around” here.
Hammer and tongs has to be the least elegant description for intercourse that I have ever read in my entire life.
Toivo just means that they’re going at it hammer and tongs: With tremendous energy or effort; vigorously.
Though it’s gonna be difficult to get the Anvil Chorus out of my head now.
Weirdly enough, that’s exactly what I was picturing. It doesn’t make the visual any less… um… I don’t even have a word. Blame the autism for my usual bouts of being too literal.
I thought it was just a Tovio-ism. The man (neanderthal) takes “inelegant” to the level of an artform – why not with words too.
I concur with this remark.
Also, Charlie you have some kind of magic touch drawing eyes for some scenes. Edison’s in panel 5 and some of Larry’s in recent comics are some really nice work.
Thank you! I’m still figuring things out, art-wise, and it’s encouraging to hear that some of the experimenting is succeeding.
