Any ideas as to what Stephanie’s thinking?
You’ll have some time, since I’m afraid that there’s slim hope of a strip next week. This working 60 hours a week, while profitable, doesn’t leave much time (and energy) for doing the kind of strip you deserve.
Plus, there’s some big doin’s on the horizon. I can’t tell you yet, but when it happens it’ll be pretty cool.
Next time, the unstoppable idea meets the immovable force. You’ll see. Will they be clever enough to-okay, that’s up to you to figure out.
I wouldn’t happen to be a similar idea to the one Eleanor had, would it?
Good question.
Eleanor wants Larry to marry Anya, become a Crown Prince of Chuckleslovakia, and help her make some heirs to the throne.
Stephanie wants Larry to make a baby with Miss Edison. Miss Edison wants to drink. Nobody’s asked her if she wants to make babies.
Do not confuse your bottle with the toilet brush. At best, it’s not good for the bottle.
And don’t entrust a child to someone who can confuse a bottle with a toilet brush.
Edison would never confuse a liquor bottle with anything. They’re too valuable (at least, when they’re not empty).
Though she might confuse a baby bottle with a bottle brush.
I’m sure the baby would notify her immediately. And loudly.
i still like my idea of adopting young adults. No muss, no fuss, and they’re already out of the house. ^^
You only have to have them over for dinner on holidays!
Unless they lose their job and move back in and hang around all day.
Et tu, Robie?
Stephanie’s a sweetie, but maybe she should wait for, like, a tiiiiny bit before making crazy schemes? At least let some of the sediment settle? There’s that superior robot processing again, I guess.
That’s it exactly. She doesn’t have the greatest impulse control. She gets a good idea and wants to act on it immediately.
Sigh. Edison has mental issues. She did TRY to put the brakes on her alcoholism, for about a week, it seems. But you can’t become a recovering alcoholic unless you actually want to, and it’s clear that she has no long-term interest in the idea.
Why would Anya’s kids be heir to the throne? Doesn’t she have a sister actually SITTING on that throne? Who will likely find a prince of her own and do what royalty does, regarding heirs and spares? Unless Eleanor is contemplating some seriously uncool actions I don’t want to give headspace to.
Thanks for restoring the white hair. She just didn’t look right without it.
As to your current hiatus, you know your loyal readers have no problems with wanting you to take the time you need. Two jobs are hard on a body even when it’s young and stupid. Us older and wiser folks need a wee bit more down time. Take care of yourself.
Good points, all, Tru.
Edison put the brakes on her drinking long enough to sign her divorce papers and get free. Now that’s over with, she’s back to her “lush life.”
Anya’s children would technically be heirs to the throne, though they’d be a little ways down the line. Eleanor wouldn’t interfere with that. There’s no profit in it for her or Anya (and Larry). She just wants to make two of her friends happy. That’s her story and she’s sticking with it.
I’m glad you like the white hair. So do I. She just looks more like her with it.
The two jobs I’ve got now aren’t as punishing as the one I gave up, but it does mean a lot less time to draw. I’m still figuring out how to make it all work.
Plus, there’s a project I’m working on that I can’t tell you about just yet. You’ll find out soon. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and understanding.
That’s too much to drop on Larry, I guess. Even without Edison’s issues.
