Uh-huh. Stephanie on a space station?
I almost didn’t get this done in time. So far, things at the bookstore are settling down into a dull roar, which should give me more time and energy to get caught back up on strips.
Meanwhile, stay tuned-Friday, Stephanie will show how understanding only she can be.
I love how the woman is carrying the last panel out of the way. I’ve mentioned before how this comic can sometime remind me of Cerebus, and this borderline level of self-awareness that this comic has is totally something you’d find in Cerebus. I love it when comics or characters become self-aware. When done right, it adds another element of storytelling that most writers are afraid or unable to approach.
Thank you. I’m trying to tread the fine line between self-awareness (“oh look, it’s a comic) and breaking the fourth wall (“oh look, we’re characters in a comic”). But when I realized that a picture of the earth in space would work, I just had to carry the gag out.
HA HA HA! I didn’t see that ending coming. 🙂
So, in Stephanie’s mind, how many times should you be able to blow up a chem lab before it’s really a problem??
Well, as long as nobody gets hurt…no, seriously, Stephanie wouldn’t want to blow any lab up any more. She just gets tired of everyone harping on it.
