Ms Turner might be very surprised indeed.
And you’ll be surprised when you see what Stephanie discovers in the clothing store! A chic chapeau? A precious pair of patent leather pumps? Or, is it..? Well, you’ll start to find out on Monday.
Meanwhile, has Ms Turner planted the seeds of doubt in Larry’s mind? Or has she just watered them?
Oh, I almost forgot: It’s our 300th comic strip! Yay! Pudding for everyone!
“Ms Turner? There’s a man with a CLUE-by-four here for you…”
Ms Turner seems a little bitter. Guess she’s been burnt by someone.
But seeing as Edison’s a “Well Known Artist” she might be barking up a wrong tree. As for Larry well everyone has doubts now and again, its how you deal with them that counts.
My, my but you’ve drawn Ms Turner kinda hot Charlie. Either that or you’ve triggered memories of the more enjoyable parts of the 70’s.
Ex Significant Other, as per panel 5
Thank you. I guess I’ve always had a “thing” for white go-go boots. The result of a first crush back in 1st grade (it was the 60s, after all).
I realized that most of the sexy things the characters in Groovy, Kinda have worn (including Larry’s “pure Italian hand-tooled polyester” shirt) wouldn’t have been out of place in my high school’s hallways (it was the 70s, after all).
Yay! Puddin’, puddin’, puddin’ . . .
The first appearance of the “pure Italian hand-tooled polyester” shirt in GK . . . the scene in ‘Saturday Night Fever’ when Tony buys the shirt out of a store window while making deliveries. Finger the fabric. Look’n good Tony!
Nice tie, Larry, yer a real Beau Brummel!
I think that if Ms. Turner knew the full truth, she’d be speechless for a week.
Nah, I have a feeling she’d have a speech for that, too.
Well, she’d certainly have an opinion, that’s for sure.
Do Larry and Stephanie share the same wardrobe? They could dress like twinkies.
Thing is, on Stephanie it’s cute. On Larry it’s . . . oh, what’s the word I’m looking for . . . not. Yes, yes the word is ‘not’.
“What?”
“Not.”
“Not what?”
“No, no, not what, not.”
– Hey, hey we’re the Monkees!
Until Sampson Enterprises sends over her stuff, Stephanie has to borrow Larry’s shirts. That’s why they’re out shopping.
You’d think a professional set-up like Sampson would’ve gotten the stuff delivered, but look what they did with Anya’s car.
I see potential for hilarity, heartbreak or both, depending on the disclosures that leak out.
*Eating popcorn in anticipation.*
The one thing I can guarantee Vas, is that with Larry’s suit, it’ll be classy.
Such gossip. Positively scandalous. And delicious.
Doing a random archive dive and just found that I HAVE to comment on a brilliant, two-level pun – “the ol’ fission hole.”
I can’t believe it took me the better part of eight years to notice that….
My god, has it really been 8 years? I feel so old…
And don’t fret over not getting the joke. I had a reference in Lyssa and the Pirates that I didn’t realize until a couple years after I created it.
