Ya just can’t win.
Sorry this took so long. I’ve written probably 10-12 comics, trying to figure out what came after the last one. I finally decided to not say what Larry and Nelson got up to (yet). But I knew he had a bandage on his face. How it got there, well…
JUST A QUICK UPDATE: I’m sorry there won’t be any new comics in the near future. New job, exhausted brain.
And most of all, Hippo (creator of the M9 Girls) and I are going to be in Japan for the next couple weeks!
It’s the trip of a lifetime. I’ll post updates when and if I can.
Edison is fighting her nature, Larry is trying to cope with everything, and sometimes you need space to figure out what to so with all of that. One problem I see is they have so many fingers in their respective “Pye” that they aren’t able to get a good handle on who and what they want.
You called that one, brother.
Edison’s stepping back to take some pressure off everyone.
And maybe try to figure herself out. Why did she hurt someone she loves so much? How can she patch things up?
And how is Stephanie going to deal with this?
Stephanie wants them both, and both of them to be happy. What I’m not clear on is which is her desired state if she can’t have both and both be happy, Have them both and one or both be less than perfectly happy, or have them both be happy and not have one or the other?
That is the $100,000 Question.
Stephanie’s inexperience is making all this worse. She’s confused and hurt, and doesn’t have the emotional history to adequately deal with this.
She honestly doesn’t know what she wants, beyond “everyone to be happy.”
She’s gonna need to reach out. Fortunately, her world is filled with friends who love her deeply.
Let’s just hope nobody gets seriously hurt in the meantime.
Cut him some slack, Stephanie, maybe Larry thought that, maybe he didn’t. All I know is that “I” surely did.
Experience cuts both ways.
Oh, you know Stephanie. Sometimes her processors can’t keep up with her mouth.
I’m really liking how you drew Edison’s expression in that top right panel. There’s something so raw about it.
Thank you!
Poor girl’s been though a lot lately, and I wanted to show that. And show she’s feeling her age.
I’m glad it came through.
Can she do it?
As long as she never completely sobers up, she should be fine.
At least, that’s what she’d say.
The bandage on Larry’s face? The one shaped like a capital X? How’d he get it?
Simple – he was in an X-cident.
Well played, my friend. Well played indeed.
New job? One you enjoy? (Those can be the most exhausting kind.)
Japan? Tell all!
Waiting for Good Ol’ Larry? We’ve gotten used to it. Take care of yourself first.
Well M9 girls has posted an update since the return from Japan. So, how are you holding up?
I started a new job and have been working 60 hours a week. So I’m a bit brain-frazzled.
Tried to draw a strip with no luck. It looked terrible.
So just hop on and babble about the trip for a couple hundred words! What did you see? Who did you meet? How was the food?
Hmmm… let me work something up.
