Aaaand, we’re back! Well, for a short time, anyway. Next week I’ll be away from home, meeting up with two wonderful Underdogs on a much needed vacation.
Meanwhile, oh Larry, you’re playing with fire here. Heaven only knows what Eleanor will do to retaliate.
Edison’s fine with it, but she doesn’t know that Eleanor knows about her little fling with Rad Sampson. E could throw a King Kong sized monkey wrench into her life with Larry.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens, huh.
Ahhh! Groovy, Kinda is back! I was starving! Not sure what to make of this twist of events, but I’ll go with the flow.
Have a good vacation, Charlie, and come back with your drawing hand well rested and raring to go!
Sorry to keep you waiting so long, Pops! Though, if you’re shaped like me, a little starving wouldn’t hurt…
As to the twist, well, Edison never was going to go for the “lets make a baby” idea. Rather than going through a long, drawn-out process, she figured she’d just tell Stephanie quick. Larry, of course, jumped in to let her down easier.
Now the trick is to get around Eleanor…
I can always tell when Stephanie feels let down — her lets itself down.
*her hair*
I feel bad for Stephanie, but at the same time, she was really pushing some buttons she shouldn’t have pushed. I’m not impressed with Edison’s behavior recently, but in this instance, she’s doing the right thing just coming out and saying what she needs to say. Plus, I think she’s well aware that she needs to focus having a better relationship with the kid she already has.
Edison knows that, with something this big, that it’s best just to be direct. She’s very good at reassuring Stephanie.
Larry’s also good at helping. He knows how Space Victoria (“the most powerful killing machine available for home or military use”) will help.
The tricky part is getting them together.
Edison continued rebuilding her relationship with her son Dilbert when she was in Rivendale. Maybe he’ll come and visit when I get the chance.
Anyone else hearing Voltaire’s “When You’re Evil” playing in the background?
Oh, Opus. You, my friend, have amazing timing.
Hipo (“The M9 Girls”) and I were visiting the amazing melaredblu this week. That’s right. Two of the awesomest Webcomic Underdogs and I got together for the very first time.
Anyway, today we were talking about strange cool music, and melaredblu played this very song for us. Today. The day I read your comment.
Cue “Twilight Zone” theme…
Well, Edison does have her own bad example of what can go wrong in a family….
The obvious answer would be to go without even telling Eleanor, but that would be wrong and dangerous….
….if you don’t know where she is, you’ll never see her coming! O.O
They could fire up the discomboulationotron without Eleanor, but when she finds out, well…
*sigh*
Another Monday without new Groovy Kindaness. I’m gonna stop looking forward to Mondays if the drought continues. But Charlie, I bet you’re thinking all the time, even if you don’t have time or energy to put ink on paper, and the future holds great Wisedom for us all.
