Sheesh. C’mon, Philo, show a little class.
Whenever these two interact, something weird happens. Will they ever learn to get along? We might see sometime.
Next time, Edison and Dilbert have a nice chat, sort of, and a decision is made. You’ll see.
UPDATE: I promised that something big would happen over at Dick Tracy, and it did.
Edison Lighthouse met the Big Guy Himself!
This is a historic moment for Groovy, Kinda. Not only was Edison part of comic history, she also got to share a panel with one of the most famous characters in all comics. I couldn’t be prouder of my girl.
And thank you again, Mike Curtis, Joe Staton, Shelley Pleger, and Shane Fisher for having her in Dick Tracy, and making her look so great!
Love the Artic frame, and Philosophy in his winter wear, Edison – just Edison! Done it again, no words, Charlie. Chris
Thanks Chris! Philo wrote that one. I had something completely different in mind, and then that appeared.
I’m curious about Dilbert’s costume in the central panel — western shirt and a hat that isn’t a cowboy hat but isn’t a fedora, either.
It’s Edison’s hat. Sort of a fedora, maybe. It’s her Dick Tracy chapeau.
Ah, of course! She was wearing it in the first panel. It does look like a fedora there; Dilbert must have just pushed the brim up too much when his mom plopped it on his head. Or maybe he has it on backward. At any rate, as a wearer of fedorae myself, I approve.
The curled brim made me think of a homburg, but they don’t typically have a pinched crown if memory serves. Although that may just be a matter of Edison pinching it when she put it on Dilbert’s head.
Hey Dandi!
I admit that I’m not as familiar with the different types of hats as I should be. I mostly copied Edison’s from Rick Fletcher’s Dick Tracy stuff.
And I bet you strike a dapper figure in your fedora, Pops!
I admit the shapelessness of her hat is due to artistic incompetence. Hats are really tough to draw. I need to copy Joe Staton’s Dick Tracy work more. He’s a master at that (and just about everything else!).
I mean, I…really don’t blame him. Sure, he’s not helping, but I can’t begrudge him having an attitude with her.
Philo comes by his bitterness honestly.
