Okay, well, um…
It’s Pop’s fault, really. He mentioned the teenyboppers in the last strip, so I thought it’d be fun to overload this one. Not that I object to drawing smexy Garupan characters, you understand. Hey, it gave me something to draw, and we got a comic out of it.
Anyway, I’ll leave you to discover all the old words and phrases Reade and Lyssa used.
I am honored, if not humbled! And I’ll need to pull the *big* wordbook off the shelf when I get home tonight….
There are a lot more characters than there are tags in this one.
True, dat. I didn’t make tags for some of them because they probably won’t show up again.
However, from left to right:
Nishizumi Miho, star of Girls und Panzer
Gotou Moyoko , nicknamed Gomoyo (after Gomorrah, because she’s on the Morals Committee)
Takebe Saori, co-star
Back view of Akiyama Yukari, who is everyone’s spirit animal (running Girls und Panzer joke)
Kawashima Momo’s 2nd Sister who has no name
and Hasegawa Tatsu, the incredibly cute driver of Fukuda’s Type 95 Ha-Go tank
Happy Turkey Day!
Thank you, Pops! Happy Thanksgiving to you, and all you
wonderful friends!
So did you and Hippo make it to Japan last month?
Do you sketch when traveling, or just take photos, or just take it all in without making a record? I’m mostly a photo guy, though seeing the world through a viewfinder has its drawbacks.
We made it to Japan and had a wonderful time! Hung out with friends, went to Tokyo, Yokohama, and then Oarai for Ankou Matsuri and a lot of Girls und Panzer fun.
Hippo has a better camera, so he took tons of pictures. I took quite a few, and I may share some.
There’s one that I’ll post with the next strip, which is coming soon!
I feel like this comic is making a commentary on something, but I just can’t put my finger on it. Are you sure you’re not being too subtle?
Putting your finger on it requires consent….
If I have any faults in my comics, it’s that they’re often too subtle for the average reader.
I try to take the “high road” every time, and my commitment to good taste and a subtle, almost sublime commentary is often lost on the average reader.
But then, I don’t have average readers. All of you are strong, good looking, and above average.
