Well, looks like the two of them aren’t gonna do something stupid. This time.
Originally I was going to have them discuss the consequences-what Stephanie, Reade, and Eleanor might do to them (hint: one of them would throw Nelson’s car into his living room). But they both know the worst thing would be that they’d hurt Larry.
Coming next (might be next week, I’m pencilling the Dick Tracy strip), Stephanie, Larry, and Anya discuss Edison’s upcoming trip. You might be surprised.
Wow! Nelson and Vicky, eh? Can’t say I exactly expected it, but I can’t say I’m surprised either.
Also, is that a Chemex? Best way to make coffee there is, bar none. That’s a woman who takes a cup of coffee seriously. I just adore all the little details in your art.
Why, thank you! It is. I’ve never made coffee with one (I have a 70 year old percolator), but I really do want to try it. I’ve heard good things. Plus, it looks cool.
Check out “The Importance of Being Eleanor” up at the top. It’s a prequel to this story/sequel to “The Adventures of Lyssa and the Pirates,” and gives you some idea of Victoria.
Panel Two looks like his head has come detached from his body.
You mean Flashback Nelson? His neck is kinda stretched, isn’t it.
I was thinking more of an “Alas, poor Yorick” thing, maybe with a little more flesh.
He is a fellow of infinite jest, after all.
I have to wonder if Larry would even mind. (…I feel like I’ve made this comment before, but I can’t remember when or of whom.)
I think you might’ve, but I can’t remember when either.
Larry was okay with Edison and Anya, but that was planned in advance (remember, that’s why Edison went to Eleanor’s party), they were at an earlier stage in the relationship, and he knew about it ahead of time.
While he would be understandably angry to find out they did it without talking to him, in time he’d forgive them. In time.
Well, good thing they decided to share a cup of coffee instead. I mean, people in the Groovy Kinda universe really get around, but this would strike to close to Larry, I guess…
