Way back in 440 BC, Herotodus wrote in his Histories (one of my all-time favorite books) about the Scythian’s use of cannabis in religious rituals. While he doesn’t specifically mention vampires, Eleanor’s book obviously made that connection.
It only remains to be seen: how this is gonna affect Edison, what Larry and especially Stephanie think about this (and Robie too, I guess), and what Eleanor’s splendid idea is.
All shall be revealed in the future. In the meantime, next week’s strip may be late. I just wrapped up my contribution to the Underdog’s Hallow e’en Exchange, and I have another project or two that I really need to tackle. One is a full-page pin-up for an upcoming Dick Tracy comic collection. Yes, I’ll be back on paper again! And the other one? Well, tell you about that soon.
In the meantime, I may post some stuff from my not so sordid past as a filler. Stick around and see what shows up!
A “full-page pin-up” from a Dick Tracy collection sounds a lot like a WANTED poster.
I toyed with that idea, Pops. I’ve got some other ones I want to play with first.
You’ll see!
Yeah, that’s an exceptionally creepy angle for Eleanor’s scheming, as if she’s seeking inspiration from the heavens (or hells)
Blame that one on the artist. It was supposed to look like Edison’s “woo” was coming from high above (“high,” get it?). But I had to get fancy-schmancy and do a shot from above.
Oh, I knew it was Edison floating at the ceiling. And in the Groovyverse (Grooviverse?) it might be literal as well as figurative. I mean, only Charlie can say what herbs power the hovercars….
Not so much herbs, as a healthy helping of Clauncarium, coupled with… secrets.
