Hoo-boy-nothing like the thought of his old girlfriend suddenly showing up after two years to make Larry stop and think.
Think about his current girlfriend. And what his old girlfriend might have been transformed into.
And that she’s Eleanor’s sister. And why Eleanor put her there in the first place.
Not to mention what Stephanie might discover about herself.
And what is Robespierre, anyway?
If Humachinal isn’t in the dictionary, it should be.
Machinal is in my 1948 Roget’s Thesaurus. But it doesn’t show up in too many current dictionaries.
I feel like Andy, over at “I, Mummy.” He’s a master at resurrecting older words.
I like “Humachinal”, too. I might have to borrow that one.
Antiquated words are fun. I have a few digitized dictionaries from olden days, and when the need arises for a word, like “cheater”, it’s pretty easy to search through all instances.
What is Robespierre? He’s CUTE. Duh.
Is Robespierre… Victoria?
That is a really interesting thought. I’m not going to give anything away.
I will say that if it’s not, they do have something in common.
Wait, so Reade hadn’t seen Robespierre yet?
Can’t wait to see Victoria, and whatever emotional pandemonium she will have in her wake. Literally anything can happen, and knowing Charlie, it will. 🙂
And I love the lunchbox too.
It looks more like a…well, a pet-carrier (for lack of a better term – is Robespierre a “pet”?”
It is a pet carrier, but he’s not happy about being inside it. Especially the way Stephanie’s swinging it in panel 2.
Larry has a “Famous Supermodel Victoria” lunchbox.
I think Robespierre qualifies as a pet. He might not see it that way, however.
All I can say about this is: ‘Be careful of what you wish for, You Might Get It’.
Oh noooo. If Victoria comes back, that’s gonna bring a whole mess of trouble. First off, did she and Larry actually break up before she went into the discombulationtron? If not, then she may be expecting to come back to a relationship that isn’t there anymore. Or it may be considered cheating on Larry’s part. And what about Edison?! I can’t see Larry leaving her, but will Victoria stand down without a fight? If she’s Eleanor’s sister, than probably not.
Now it’s my turn to be in suspense about the next page! Please come quickly, Thursday!
IF Victoria is ‘vamping about’ and discovers that Larry has moved on. After taking care of Eleanor, Victoria could go after Edison. I suspect that the most mean thing She could to do to Edison is . . . .
Sorry but I was told by a real cool beauty to stop before something really, really, really rotten occurred.
I’m going to leave it up to your imagination for now.
Just remember, Victoria is Eleanor’s sister.
That IS why I said what I did. Unless, Victoria is a Total Ditz, which I do not believe, Eleanor could be surprised.
Charlie, the art on this page is beyond exceptional! WOW! WOW! WOW!
Aw, thank you, Vas!
I’ve been reading Classic Comic Press’ reissue of the great 50s comic “The Heart of Juliet Jones.”
Stan Drake was a master at making interesting layouts and panels. It’s been a real inspiration. I’m glad you like it.
I love the kitten book running gag. It’s simply perfect.
Thank you. That was another thing that just came up by accident.
Remember, it first happened here (and Kittens Kaboodle is still one of my favorite titles).
Stephanie is one of the easiest characters to write. I just have to sit back and listen to her. You’ll see on the next strip.
Agreed…
You mean purrrrrrfect
