Okay, the joke was dumb-but not too dumb to build a strip around. Edison’s taking more steps back into her former life-getting drunker and getting her white hair back.
Besides, it was fun to draw a five panel continuous background strip.
Next week, the insults fly fast and furious until someone… well, can you guess?
*snerk!*
That is all.
That’s the reaction I was hoping for.
Yeah, the continuous style on this page is fantastic. I love how you make it work. And yeah, it does seem like Edison is full steam ahead on her way back. The hair I can stand by, though. Always preferred her with white hair. Makes her seem more herself, for better or worse.
Thank you! The continuous style was tough, but fun. It involved a lot of full-body shots, which is one of my many weak points. So, good practice (but please, Larry, get out of that suit! You’re killing me, man.).
So, you and Tru cast two votes for white hair. What do you think?
Get rid of that suit??? Engineers have dress code, y’know!
An’ ‘sides, drawing Larry’s suit is just well- disciplined cross- hatching, and you are the all-time cross- hatch champeen!
Nah. Even Stephanie was lost on that pun, Edison. You tried to set it up, but ya just missed the mark by a hair.
“…missed the mark by a hair.”
I see what you did there.
Normally Sober Edison can’t come up with a good punchline. Tipsy Edison can’t seem to come up with a good joke. Give her time.
If Edison’s hair is naturally white from age or genetics, I say she goes for it.
Neither. It was self-inflicted with help from an inexperienced hovercar driver. (see HERE)
Oh, thank you for the xref! I like going back and refreshing my memory of how things happened.
Thank you, Uncle Delta!
Just wondering but did any of the encounters where Stephanie and Edison consummated their relationship ever make it onto a panel? Even if it was an immediately before or after or morning after kind of thing. There’s been dialog lately that it has happened, but I’m drawing a blank (pun not intended) about any on-screen activity.
Well, there was this.
Ah, yes.
Come to think of it, there was the strip just before that.
Then some some offscreen action here…
Stephanie kissed Larry here
Puns are an acquired taste, which I have fortunately acquired. It made me grin just when I was thinking that Edison needed another slap from reality.
Paradigm shift at it’s best. ^^
Ha-ha. Paradigm shifts are stock in trade here at Groovy, Kinda.
Nice dynamic paneling.
Edison still wants to be aggravated, but hey, hopefully she agrees in the end.
Thanks!
She’s not gonna let this one go for a while. It’s too valuable. She thinks she has the moral high ground here.
Though she may get distracted next time.
S’ use me gov, but I think the Edison should ‘ave a chalky Barnet.
Fair ’nuff, yer grace. Fair ’nuff.
