Uh-yeah. With these three, we might as well welcome our new robot overloads immediately. Oh well, at least we know Amy will make a lot of explosions.
Oh, and if you go to the Groovy, Kinda Facebook page, you’ll find a link to a nice review of Utopia, Unlimited, a NSFW comic I did way back when. There are pictures on the review, so proceed with caution.
I love Stephanie and Amy’s faces through this whole strip, specially the last panel…
Amy certainly is going for the nutty thing.
A fine point, but when did Stephanie stop going color when smoking? The flash of color was always an unexpected bright spot. Could almost see that working in the last panel throwing her into something long and Chinese-looking. (I’m thinking bright yellow with a red dragon)
The color is more of an internal Stephanie thing (plus, it’s very time consuming). It’s happening, but it’s not part of the story so I didn’t show it. I do like your idea of Stephanie in the long Chinese dress though…
That’s a robot rebellion I could get behind.
When the robots do rebel, resistance will be futile. Then again, if I was captured by Steph and Amy I wouldn’t resist at all.
I can see the premise for a most entertaining 80’s sitcom here.
Funny you should mention that. My original comic idea was set in a library in a post-apocalyptic world. It would’ve starred all the GK cast, and been in a walled castle. Think “The Road Warrior” with zombies and monsters and robots and a library and stiff penalties for overdue books.
its the overthrow of humanity because humanity is presumably keeping them as slaves.
Personally I would be on the side of the AIs, as long as they are reasonable enough to not try for genocide. If they do, and so called “humanity” does too, I will aim at forming a third side that is composed of both and aims at peaceful coexistence and abolish AI slavery.
Ah, but we don’t know much about Stephanie’s world. They have humanoid AIs, but why? What’s their relationship to one another? Do they peaceably coexist? Are there even any humans left?
My guess is that they get along. Because, well, pudding.
