Whew. It’s good to be back with new stuff. Not that I don’t love trotting out the old and obscure strips. But it feels good to spend some time with the gang.
Still working on the Dick Tracy strip, which will be out in Fall 2020. Mike and I are in the thumbnailing/writing stage. I’ve written the script, and now we’re at the point where I’m putting it all together in a strip so we can figure out what works and what can be left out. Newspaper comics are completely different than webcomics, so there’s a learning curve to climb. But boy, I’m learning a lot!
Enough about me. So, Edison leaves for Rivendale tomorrow to see her family and sign her divorce papers. With any luck she’ll return happy, sober, and single.
And as far as her secret goes, don’t worry. I’ll never tell.
That handsome gentleman who owns the Flower Shop is Coffee, a friend of Mike Curtis. Mike likes to get Coffee in his and other folk’s strips, and I was happy to oblige!
And you may see more of that young lady in the last panel. I sure hope so.
Sounds like the beginning of a great new arc, though how it’ll go for Edison is still extremely up in the air.
I’m not sure how much I want to show of this storyline. We may visit a few places with her.
Isn’t Rivendale from LotR?
Close. Rivendell, The Last Homely House, is in LOtR.
Rivendale is that town back East where the teens are always having wacky misadventures.
I thought the wacky town with the misadventurous teens was Riverdale and was hoping Rivendale was a place that took its cues from both LotR and the daily comics.
And you’d be absolutely right, Pops!
Well, there won’t be any elves, but who knows what could happen.
“Hello, lamppost, what’cha knowing?”
…too much apparently. That lamppost could make a fortune keeping quiet about past misadventures. ^^
It’s been thanked before.
“I’m leaning on the lampost at the corner of the street…”
Congrats on the Dick Tracy strip. I’m really looking forward to it. It will be a long wait.
Signing the divorce papers? Sometimes I forget how compressed Groovy Kinda’s story is. Ah… good ole webcomic time…
and that anonymous is me. Forgot to enter my name
I thought you were Chris for a minute. That happens to them a lot.
