“Lush” was the typical slang-word for approval of something at one point back in the mid-to-late nineties. Much the same as “awesome” used to (and now does again).
Caused much confusion when the Internet started picking up and I was able to speak to strangers over the Atlantic (i.e. america) frequently… and found out that our word for “good” meant “alcoholic” there, while our word for “cigarette” meant “gay” there. Much confusion.
