Leo, speechless? That doesn’t happen very often, I’m sure.
But then, how often does a Royal Plumber meet someone as sweet as our Stephanie?
As some of you have guessed, that’s Leopold, one of the stars of one of my all-time ever favorite comics, Princess Chroma. The lovely young lady in panel 4 is the lovely Queen Juno.
melaredblu (creator of Princess Chroma) and I thought it’d be fun to put these two together and see what happens. Which is what we’ll do next time! Stick around!
I could gush on and on about this page until the universe implodes on itself. You’re awesome Charlie, there’s not a single thing about this that I don’t love!
Charlie you are an Artist!
Drawing in Stephanies Bum Dimples, Perfect.
Thanks, Mike. I can’t tell you how many times I had to draw that panel. Not as many as #4, but it was quite a few.
And why a humachinal has Bum Dimples is a story for another day.
I am… speechless. This is a gorgeous page, the detail, the situations…
The comedy timing is dead-on for this strip, and the “don’t show, don’t tell” approach to panel 3 is awesome.
Juno looks quite perky, surely she took some advice from Leopold, who, honestly, has seen better days.
Congrats on a great crossover!
Thanks, man!
I believe that should read “Another great crossover.” The M9 crossover was so much fun that I just had to do it again.
Though you set the bar pretty high. But I think that the next strip or two will…but I can say no more.
Please donate now. We need your help to save the rare plumberbirds affected by the massive poop pipeline spill. Your generous contributions will be used to clean and rehabilitate the poor unfortunate wildlife. Send all your monies to the Charlie Foundation.
So remember, when you think about poop-covered plumberbirds, think “Charlie.”
Won’t you please help? Operators are standing by. Thank you.
Hi, I just realized the Vatican Assassins ARE REALLY LOST. It would be interesting in finding out how they got there; however, it will be even more interesting to see how they get Back.
Poor plumberbirds. I feel bad but uhm, well, oh brother, they smell bad. sorry. Guess I will have to put her out of my misery. Oh hi, Stephanie, why are you looking at me like that . . . oh sna . . . . . .
Not surprisingly at all, you’ve nailed the sarcastic wit which makes Princess Chroma so delightful (although you took it to new territory, here). ^^
And, once again, you show yourself to be the king of the Awkward Situation. 🙂
Thank you for both of us!
It’s been a blast.
“What if this happened? What would Leo say?”
“He’d say (something brilliantly snarky)…”
“I love it! Okay, then, that would make this happen!”
“And Stephanie would be all like (something Stephanieish)…”
“Exactly!”
I could go on, but you get the picture. Working with Mr. M9 was like that too. In fact-but, I can say no more.
The mental image of Leo and Pato going nose-to-nose and vocabulary-to-vocabulary while Larry tries to referee is causing me severe mirthful hyperventilation. That’s probably not what you meant, but that’s where my mind went immediately. *Snort* *Bellylaugh*
