Uh-oh. Now, there’s a scary thought.
In case you’re wondering where the argument in panel three came from, it’s from “The Importance of Being Eleanor” up there at the top. It’s a free comic-the bridge between “The Adventures of Lyssa and the Pirates” and “Groovy, Kinda.”
So, we should be back on a regular schedule next week! Can you tell I have my fingers crossed? I just have to finish this final page for the Webcomic Underdogs print book, and then I can focus on Groovy, Kinda. And when the book comes out, it’ll have an exclusive three page story that won’t show up anywhere else! Look for it this spring.
I hope your new year is going splendidly! The 2nd anniversary of Groovy, Kinda is coming up soon. Here’s to many more!
I love this webcomic. It confuses the hell out of me wondering how you’ll slide sideways to expectations NEXT time – but I really enjoy the characters and the artwork. Though I admit to wanting to bop one or two characters onna head from time to time.
I tried to read the link to The Importance of Being Eleanor (nice call out to a wonderful story/play/movie) but I could only see the left portion of any page. Very frustrating. It’s like the box is 400 pixels wide and the art is 600 pixels wide and oh, well – the last 200 pixels just went bye-bye. So I have CLUES to what’s going on – but no real understanding.
Oh – Happy New Year! 🙂
You should be able to click on the page itself and get just the page on your screen.
“FAME! I’m gonna live forever…”
Actually it’s a touch ambiguous – who is the “her” that Nelson is referring to that will live forever?
Eleanor.
They think Eleanor pushed Victoria through the discombobulationotron so she could come back with something that would keep Eleanor from aging.
Only time will tell…
And Tru, TooOldToBeCool is right. Just click on the page. It’s kind of an awkward way to read, but we’re working on it.
hi, I was just wondering: what would Eleanor do if she finds out that after she pushed Victoria thru, Victoria died due to something more dangerous than she knew or by an accident.
I have a feeling that she would refuse to show any emotion until she was alone or would she feel free of her sisters influence and celebrate.
Hmm.
Wow. That is a really good question.
It would depend on who is with her when she makes the discovery. If it’s only her housemates-Larry, Nelson, or Toivo- then she’d show emotion. If anyone else was there she’d shrug it off and wait until she was alone or Nelson was with her. He’s the person she’s most open with. Remember her scene with him in “Importance” after she shot the TV.
She’d be devastated. And not just because her plan failed. She and Victoria may have fought in the past, but they still love one another. Remember Vickie and the chocolate and the choir robe.
hi, good answer, thinking about it. What would Larry do and/or feel.
It was pointed out that it took Larry a quite while to forgive Eleanor.
I think the news would hurt Larry and he would not hate and would forgive her. . . . in about 20 years.
However, this might not happen.
right?
Of course not! Why, nobody ever dies unexpectedly in Groo-oh wait. Phyl Sampson.
Well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens!
And Larry would be very angry with Eleanor.
