Well, Miranda is a pirate, after all. I don’t just wonder where she got the knife, but where she was hiding it.
At least they seem to have tricked Miffy into letting them stay. As long as Miffy doesn’t do anything to arouse Miranda’s ire, that is.
Now that those two are settled (in a matter of speaking), it’s time to get to that game of Tunnels & Trolls! Will they play? Will there be giant war chickens? Will Lyssa play, and what would kind of character would she play?
Some of this and more will be revealed soon!
Speaking of cool stuff-okay, we are now-Neil Kapit, of The Ruby Nation, has posted the dystoipian future job of a certain famous Groovy, Kinda character. Read all about it here!
That’s so cool, Neil. I love it!
Mental image of Caliban done up in ringlets………..
I’m guessing you really have a soft spot for “The Tempest”?
From the look on his face in Panel 4, Caliban’s having some mental images of his own…….
He’s just muffling Miranda so she doesn’t blow the scam by getting mad at Miffy for saying Caliban is hers. Not much he can do now, however, except hope Miranda doesn’t get them kicked out. Fortunately, he can talk to Miranda without Miffy hearing. He hopes.
Caliban’s hair being done while the “The Merry Old Land of Oz” song plays in the background (like that scene from the movie were Lion gets his mane primped).
Is absolutely brilliant! I can see Miffy and Miranda giggling and bonding over his ringlets.
“The Tempest?” Never heard of it. How now mooncalf?
Yeah, Miranda and Caliban go back even before Lyssa and the Pirates. But they’re not the only Groovy, Kinda characters with a link to that play. You’ve already met that one…
Yay, Miffy’s back! And just as self-centeredly adorable as ever. <3
This is shaping into a grand reunion/adventure. I can just see Lyssa and the gang going back to Buccaneering with a sigh of relief for the chance to rest. 🙂
Oh, how right you are. Well, most of them…
And yeah, The Center of the Universe is back, in all her striped glory.
Caliban’s got some serious muscle going on under that fur, who knew? Though I guess it’s not a surprise, he does look pretty muscular even when he’s dry.
Here Stephanie was worried that he likes calimari, but it turns out he prefers regular ol’ fish instead.
Caliban is amazingly strong. He once threw Allen about 50 yards overboard, and he held a cannon while it fired. And he ate a plate.
That’s a shiny coat.
I just love how savvy Caliban is. That despite apperances, he’s the most leve-headed of the bunch and most attuned to social cues. In other words, the exact opposite of Miffy.
Thanks! I wasn’t sure how to ink a soaking wet Caliban. I’m still figuring that one out.
And you’ve read “Lyssa and the Pirates,” so you know how savvy he is. He does pick up on stuff pretty quickly, and, except for Lyssa, and poor Lars, he’s the sanest one there.
“Sane” being a relative term, of course.
I know, but there was very little feedback when I wrote comments in the margins of the book. 🙂
I just wanted to say it.
You wrote in my book?
Okay, that’s really cool. I’m terribly flattered.
Mind you, I’m assuming you wrote nice things.
Hi, Re: The knife. It’s the hidden knife in the CENSORED trick.
I don’t know what you’re talking about. It was in her shoe. Or strapped to her ankle. Maybe.
hi, I do but I like to see how everyone else thinks on where it WAS.
Sorry, but I have been reading some Kigo Fan Fiction.
Oh, I was just being facetious. I almost had Eleanor mention it.
Ok. It’s time for a Groovy, Kinda action figure line. I want a 12 inch Caliban with full articulation and fish. He could come on a stand made to look like the discombobulator with a Jolly Roger draped in it. You should do a Kickstarter ASAP! But seriously. I’m really digging this story arc a lot! I’ve already dug out my copy of Blue Moon and have it on the nightstand. (I got a package with your address ready to go in the mail this week as a thank you.) As soon as I find time to breath, I’m doing some more fan art. As for poor Larry… Those Apex bastards! Hopeful Edison’s blood alcohol level is too high for them to get her. They Need to send Steph over to Ruby Nation to sort that mess out. Love you Neil!
No-it should be a classic Aurora model kit! You know, with the background and stand. Like “The Forgotten Prisoner,” or “Frankenstein’s Monster” figures. With glow in the dark eyes.
Oh man, I’m going to check the mail every day now.
Yeah, what’s up with Larry going over to the dark side and joining APEX? Dang it, Neil!
I remember those! I had a Spiderman kit that came with wads of sticky blue gum-like stuff that made your eyes burn and tasted like the smell of Icyhot. Hmmm. Maybe that’s what’s wrong with me.
Love “mithcreant”…
Isn’t Miffy fun? I do wonder how someone who claims to be from Venus developed such a big vocabulary…
