Yoiks! That’s gonna cause a panic, at least.
How are our heroes gonna handle this one? Will Larry come up with something in time? Will Lyssa figure out how to keep the police at bay? Or will they just come out and tell everyone that Green Demons don’t exist, but Sampson Enterprises has a dimensional gate and there’s all sorts of strange stuff coming through?
I think it’s safe to say there’ll be panic. And wheels will begin to turn. You’ll just have to stick around to see!
Oh, and I have the sweetest surprise for you on Valentine’s Day!Courtesy of Andy from “I, Mummy!” Ain’t it a peach?
Andy, than you so much!
I did a Valentine for one of my favorite comics, The M9 Girls. Check it out.
And a big “thank you” to melaredblu for putting this together. You’re the best.
Happy Valentine’s Day everybody!
“That’s the weirdest thing we done seen come outta there since, oh, about 9:45. Not the weirdest for today, so far, but that second thing was pretty weird.”
*like*
Groovy, Kinda has the best darned commenters on the whole darned Internet!
Now I have to go look that up.
“Innesmouth?” I dunno about going there…everybody who lives there gives you that funny look…
It’s actually “Innesmount.” No relation. Nuh-unh. Not at all.
The rumours (as a certain author would write) that Ivar Marsh, one of the town’s founders, came from a now abandoned seaport in Massacheusetts are, as far as most people know*, unfounded.
*Certain librarians, however, know the truth.
What? He’s a sports mascot! You know, like The San Diego Chicken.
There’s a YouTube video of assorted mascots being forced by circumstances to try to look mournful and respectful – like when someone’s death is announced and they ask for a “moment of silence.” This is … difficult … in any number of mascot costumes.
Actually, given how long that Sampson Enterprises has been there, and the tall tales that must have been swirling around the place for YEARS – I would imagine it’s mostly only the tourists that would get too worked up at the sight of Caliban.
True, but a real, live Green Demon is a little different than, say, some genetic experiment gone horribly wrong and running amok through the streets, throwing cars and leaving smelly pools of-not that that has ever happened, you understand.
Holy cow, Andy! I thought Charlie had drawn that Valentine’s Day art at first. You nailed the style perfectly!
As for the page itself–gee, the sentiments in the library window remind me of somebody. Can’t imagine who.
Oh, I could never color like that, much less think up that awesome Robie hat.
And the sentiments in the window? I can neither confirm nor deny. I will say that, just as in real life, they don’t slow people down one bit.
Love the Valentine drawing.
Nice page! Caliban is quite a neck turner!
Also, Andy, that was superb!
