I registered just to say thank you for your awesome work. I hope that things are going well in your life and that it is simple artists block. My girlfriend and I read your comic every day and talk about what we think will happen next. Always a good time to be had with GK.
I don’t think it’s serious. It is frustrating though. I’ve got the next scripts all written out and ready to go, and every time I sit down and put pen to paper it looks awful.
So, in the meantime I’m just recharging the batteries and the adventures should continue soon.
I hope it’s soon, ’cause there’s some fun stuff coming up.
“artist’s block”? you have my sympathy, i’ve gotten a case of “writer’s block” once in a while, it’s a bitch when you’re freelancing and bumping a deadline.
Charlie, when I get stuck writing I break away and write something else so why not draw something else to break the block.
And if you need inspiration, here’s a little ditty I wrote:-
”
Larry, a man called Pye,
Lost his heart in Edison’s eye,
Though her Demons she’d brought,
For her, them he fought,
So their story can ne’re come to naught!
”
That’s great! Thank you for that.
Maybe we should have a Groovy, Kinda Poetry party.
“There once was a librarian named Anya…”
In other news, my mojo is returning slowly. The next strip is almost completely pencilled (which is the toughest part).
Again, thank you for your patience and support.
“Its Four o’clock on a Friday,
and the regular workloads dried up,
So I’m sitting right here,
With a tea not a beer,
Making poetry to cheer Charlie Up.”
Sorry that one came out of no-where. (And profound apologies to Billy Joel)
But, as I said it’s been a slow Friday afternoon so here’s one for your Groovy, Kinda Poetry party. (Ok I stretched the rhyming alot!)
“There once was a librarian named Anya,
Who recently asked Larry “Oh Can Ya?”,
Once Eleanor’s toy,
She now craves our boy,
and Edison’s her sideline in Joy
“
Oh Charlie what have you started? Someone has pulled the cork out of the Genie ‘s bottle.
”
Edison’s a girl,
Who’s walked down the road,
Where Bacchus’ tribute has flow’d.
While Pipkin’s now done,
She still loves her son,
And to Larry, her story is owed.
While her histories deep,
Larry knows she’s to keep,
So he’s willing to reap,
All the wild oats that they’ve sowed.
”
ahahahahahhaha. Good one! Now, where’s the comic. (c8
Soon as my ability to draw returns, I’ll draw it.

Good luck and we hope to see you soon.
Take care of yourself Charlie. I hope everything is okay.
I love your work. I will read your book while you are on Hiatus.
Thanks! Joe.
