Happy Monday! Coming up: beatinks, bears, and, just in case you slept through the Chuckleslovakian portion of your history classes, a refresher.

Yay, a long page again! And a very well written one. It’s strange how brief moments in time (like the one Anya is talking about) stand out so vividly for the rest of your life and have a certain feeling and emotion to them that nothing else will ever match.
I can totally relate to Edison – if most people looked at my day-to-day life, they’d probably think I had a drinking problem, lol. But uh….hey I can quit whenever I want, man!
That car is bad ass btw.
Yeah-poor Anya. Here she goes through this terrible night- hitting Stephanie, totaling her car, finding out Phyllis is dead, etc.- and then she can finally relax with Edison, who says something understanding and comforting, and…
Those are the shared moments that help build and define a relationship. And they’ve lost that one.
Thanks about the car. I grew up reading Hot Rod Cartoons and CarToons magazines, and hot rods were some of the first things I drew (after I graduated from dinosaurs and before I discovered girls). So I’m always looking for a chance to drop a hemi into a car. I’d put one in Anya’s Bug when she gets it back, but it might not work. Hmm…
Jeeze, you can’t have too much of a drinking problem! Look at all the great comics you still manage to produce! Trust me-it’s when it starts interfering with the work that you’ve gotta worry.
Or you wake up in a strange dumpster with someone else’s pants on. On your head.
A hemi in a Bug – that would be something! I used to have a ’72 Ghia, myself. I miss that car….
I had a ’67 bug and still miss it. The only VW I’d want more than a Ghia is a pre ’67 van.
With the V nose, right? Ahhh I love those things! If I could afford collect VWs I totally would. A low light Ghia convert and a V nose van for towing my Ghia to shows!
Exactly. A V nosed Kombi.
On a side note, a friend donated a bunch of old owner’s manuals, and it included a ’64 and a ’59 Karmann Ghia.
I want a “Thing”.
I had a subscription to CARtoons in the ’80s.
“Krass and Bernie” by Trosley was great fun.
I still have a couple copies of CARtoos and Hot Rod Cartoons from my youth. Great stuff.
