Looks like Robespierre isn’t the only one in a jam.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist that one. I wanted to show what the Li’l Stinker was up to while everyone spent the night getting the discombobulationotron back together. At least it looks like Edison’s back.
And I know I don’t talk about what goes into making Groovy, Kinda much. But I just want to say that this strip took over two weeks to finish. I know it doesn’t look like it. I cut every corner I could to get this thing finished. I really wanted to draw Caliban looking pensively through a window, but man, try as I might, I could not make it happen.
I dragged myself through the worst Artist’s Block in a long time. I feel like I’m still scarred from it. Things are pretty much back on track, although proceeding slowly. Fortunately I still have a buffer, so don’t worry, the strips will arrive on time for at least another month. Thanks for your patience and for letting me prattle on.
Next week, we’ll find out who’s whom and what’s where, when Edison and Victoria… well now, that’d be giving it away, wouldn’t it?
Ouch! Sorry to hear about your bout with artist’s block. 🙁
Sounds to me like you need a role in another community play to recharge your batteries. 🙂
And finally, never forget that we don’t see what you didn’t draw, so we suffer no lack for it. 🙂
Oh, D-v, thank you for those kind words. The block is slowly going away, but I spent so much time not drawing that it’s hard to get back in the groove (as you young people say).
I’d love to be in another play, but, unfortunately my work schedule won’t allow it at this time. Possibly next year.
True, you don’t see what I don’t draw, but if I burn through my buffer, what you see won’t be anything new for a while. Still, that’s a ways off. Fingers crossed!
Charlie, aside from that one guy way back when, up whose nose I wanted to shove … unpleasant things, we’re a really patient bunch when you’re having a bout of blockage. Think blue sky thoughts, recharge, and draw what amuses you for a while. Perhaps victorian architecture. Or perhaps not…. 😛
Thank you Tru. You really are the best folks anyone could wish for. I’m so grateful for your patience with an old fool and his rantings.
I am still drawing, and, you’ll be glad to see, experimenting again. Look for some fun stuff coming up.
Victorian architecture! Oh please, no! There’s a reason why most of the places in Innesmount are Craftsman style. Laziness.
