Whew. Despite the best efforts of a couple of word processing programs, I finally got this baby lettered.
Because I use the GIMP for graphics, I have to import my word balloons from elsewhere. I won’t go into detail, but lettering took a few days to finish.
The good news is that I have another strip almost finished. It’s gonna be a busy work week, so we’ll see how long until the next one. Not as long as this took.
Anyway, looks like Stephanie’s little adventure is having big repercussions. Poor Eleanor has to change her plans, and you can imagine how much she loves that.
Next time-Larry pays a visit to a certain someone. Some cameos, some Robespierre, and, unfortunately, no Miffy. Maybe the time after.
Huzzah!
(More later.)
So, Charlie, I see you’ve been spending quality time with your collection of nineteenth-century thesauri. Fortunately, I’m married to an English teacher and have fully internalized her prime directive: “Look it up!”
*Diduction*: The act of drawing apart.
*Kisky*: Drunken
*Demirep*: Courtesan
Guilty as charged, my friend. I loves my 1924 Webster’s, and the two volumes of a dictionary from 1899.
It’s just so Eleanor to pepper her speech with obscure words and phrases.
Don’t forget “subrogate.” To substitute one thing for another.
I figured everybody already knew “subrogate.”
Driving home and I heard “Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)” and I thought of G,K.
I’m glad you’re back and okay.
It’s good to be back! Thank you!
Yeah, every time I hear that song I think of her.
