Like a lamb to the slaughter.* Might as well give up, pal. Anya gets what Eleanor wants her to have.
Though, there might be more going on than Larry suspects. You’ll see.
Also, next time-the answer to the question that’s right on the tip of your mind! Stick around!
And a tremendous THANKĀ YOU to my good friend hippo (of M9 Girls fame) for his tireless effort on behalf of Groovy, Kinda. We owe this strip to you, brother. It couldn’t have happened without you, and without John of EthicalHost, Groovy, Kinda’s web host, who took time out from a camping trip to work with hippo. You two are the best!
*I just noticed-if you take the “s” from “slaughter,” what’s left is pronounced totally different. Because English.
It didn’t take you long to find an opportunity to use “meowfia” and I for one am delighted.
I stea-I mean, get my inspiration from the best!
I don’t know about this. Have all neccessary permissions slips been signed? ‘I’s dotted. ‘T’s crossed?
I pity the poor sod who tries to get Eleanor to sign a permission slip.
That’s a mistake you only make once. If you survive.
Oh, bless you one and all! A frolicsome comic to start my work week!
Charlie, your rendition of Anya seems to have been inspired by — I almost said ‘drawn from’ — something deep in my psyche. I don’t know how you do it, but you have my permission to continue.
Thank you, my friend! I don’t know what it is, but Anya’s face in Panel 2 just makes me smile.
Just poking my nose in to say “hi” and hoping all is well with the Groovy Gang. I do love this comic and yet for some reason I haven’t logged in to ANY of the comics for a month. So I’m rebuilding my bookmarks (again). And sometime soon I’ll have to do it AGAIN because I bought a new desktop. However, since I hold a World Championship Title in procrastination (or would, if I’d ever taken the time to pick it up), it’s still sitting on the floor waiting for me to clear desk space for it.
This is more difficult than it sounds, because my OLD desktop (which hasn’t worked for … three years? … it still taking up all the space on my desk. And my back hurts just thinking about moving it, as it weighs about 25 pounds and is HUGE. I look around my house and can count at least eight dead computer bodies, and at least four dead battery back-ups littering the floorspace, because they’re HEAVY. Plus I’m reluctant to just toss them in the dumpster. Don’t they have PCBs or some other poisons that need to be disposed of carefully? Sigh. I need someone with a strong back (and a weak mind) to come de-clutter my home for me.
Anya needs to learn boundaries. Not going to happen any time soon, I’d guess, but still…
I feel your pain, good buddy. My last desktop is sitting here next to the current one. I keep trying to get it going enough to download all the art archived on it. In my case, it’s laptops. I have three sitting around-two I’d like to get repaired, since one apparently can’t get a laptop with a disc player anymore.
Anya and boundries…well, yeah.
Not even my new desktop came with an optical drive – so I bought an external one. Eventually I’ll put everything together but … (points to self) lazy person here.
I understand completely. I just finished putting everything loseable on an exterior drive. It was a hard lesson to learn though…
